The FCC wants to take even more of our television broadcast spectrum for future wireless use. If you like watching over-the-air DTV and feel that you don't need to have any additional spectrum taken away from the UHF broadcast frequencies (remember channels 52-69??), tell the FCC because they're looking for comments. Go here and read this document. Let them know that you enjoy watching over-the-air television. You cannot see better picture quality than by an antenna feeding your DTV. OTA television is free television and wiithout OTA television you will pay to watch television. Read more about this subject here . Read the NAB's response to the FCC. NEW DX TUNERS FROM SONY - THE XDR-F1HD AND XDR-S3HD
Nowadays you won't find much on the market in the way of new audio equipment worthy for DXing. The last tuner we knew about was the Sangean HDT-1. But recently Sony introduced the XDR-F1HD tuner, a tuner the size of a car radio that offers AM/FM, RDS and HD radio in one small package. It also offers great sounding audio plus supurb adjacent channel selectivity, overload rejection and sensitivity. And best of all is the price. In some cases this radio sells for less than $100. And it's here just in time for DX season. (5/21) Also check out the XDR-S3HD, a table radio version of the F1HD tuner. If you have no amplifier to connect to the tuner, go this route instead. It's the same great radio!
